Open Swim at JHS Aquatic Center
Open Swim continues at the JHS Pool on Wednesday Evenings at 7:00. The cost is $2 for Jenison Students.
Open Water Polo takes place at the JHS Pool every Sunday from 5:00 - 6:15 and costs just $2 for Jenison Students
Senior Pictures
Please submit Senior Photos and/or Baby Photos to the Yearbook Staff ASAP. While the deadline is scheduled for March 23, 2010, the staff is in the process of creating the spreadsheet for the Class of 2010 and needs pictures to help complete the layout.
There are two methods for turning in Yearbook Photos:
1) Clearly labeled in an envelope to the Main Office or,
2) Email images to cformsma@jpsonline.org, add "Senior Photo" in the subject line and print your name as you wish it to appear.
Junior/Senior Prom 2010
The date for the Junior/Senior Prom is Saturday, May 8, 2010.
Summer Science Trip
A Summer Science Trip to Baja, Mexico is scheduled for June 23-30, 2010. Any JHS Students who enjoy outdoor adventures, love the beach and are curious about Pacific marine life, or think exploring waterfalls and mountainous terrains would be exciting may want to inquire about this trip. College credit is available through the University of Wisconsin, Steven Point. College Sports Career Day
The fifth annual College Sports Career Day will take place at Western Michigan University's Fetzer Center, on Friday, 4/16 from 9 am to 1:30 pm. This is a unique opportunity for students to explore a variety of career opportunities in the world of intercollegiate athletics. The event is open to all high school students, staff and parents. Stop into the Guidance/School to Career Office or Athletic Office for more information.

Student Council: The meeting scheduled for today during 5th Hour in the TCR has been canceled.
Spring 2010 Athletes: Please be advised that there is a new procedure for athletic eligibility. Every student who wishes to take part in a Spring 2010 sport at JHS should stop in the Athletic Office to receive a Practice Permission slip from Mrs. Marlink which will serve to prove that the Athletic Office has a Physical Form on file. This applies to Fall and Winter athletes as well. Students will not be eligible to participate without following this procedure.
Fly Fishing Club: The Fly Fishing Club T-Shirts are being designed by JHS students and are available in Room 213 for $7 each.
Important Information for The Class of 2010
The Jenison Athletic Boosters is offering ten $500 scholarships to Seniors who are planning a post-secondary education. This is an award for students involved in athletics that have best represented the ideals of High School Athletics. Recipients will be awarded based on positive contributions to Jenison Athletics during their High School years. Students can pick up an application in the Athletic Office or visit www.jenisonathleticboosters.com. The deadline is 2:00 pm on May 3, 2010.
Please mark your calendar for Wednesday, March 17 as the day seniors are to pick up graduation merchandise ordered last November. The Josten's representatives will be in the cafeteria from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm to hand out orders. If there is a balance due on your order, it will have to be paid on March 17. If you missed ordering a cap & gown, please contact Josten's at 877-475-7027 or at www.jostens.com to place an order.

Griffin's Hockey Tickets: The JHS Girls Softball Program is selling tickets to the Grand Rapids Griffin's Hockey Game scheduled for Friday, 3/26. The cost is $7. Please call Kim Looman at 616-262-2619 to purchase tickets or for more details.
Girls Water Polo: Any girls interested in joining the JHS Girls Water Polo Team for the Spring 2010 Season should attend a brief informational meeting Today at 3:00 pm in the Pool Balcony.
JHS Boys Baseball: Any 9th - 12th Grade Boys interested in trying out for Freshman, JV, or Varsity Baseball for the 2010 Season should plan to attend a mandatory sign up meeting Today at 3:00 pm in the TCR.
JHS Boys Track: Any 9th - 12th Grade Boys interested in running Track for the 2010 Season should plan to meet with Coaches Sigler and Schalk Today during either lunch period.
